blah at the mailbox!

But the holidays can do that...

I'm happy to be getting caught up! I have lots of stuff going out again today. I'm not sure it's all that interesting--mostly just documentation for the Fluxus Bucks I've received, but sometimes it's just time to take care of business, right?

Or maybe not.

What I really need to do is some housework. UCKY smells coming from the art room due to the cats deciding it's theirs. One cat box in there is apparently not enough...

tomorrow's my day off but I want to do mail art today!

Oh, well.

Yesterday I got over 20 pieces of mail out the door! Yay! I love dumping lots of mail in the mailbox over at the post office. I love checking my PO box and finding a ton of great mail stuffed in there. Yesterday it wasn't too packed, but it was good stuff. David Alvey, who lives just a city away, showed up with a mail art man in a "sorry we damaged this in the mail" and a stamp that said something about having sent it to the NIXIE DEPT. I love that! What the heck is a nixie dept? Do we all need one?

christmas is over...YAY!

I think I accidentally discovered how to get past the resistant screen that won't let me type in it--so I'm back!!! This came about by deciding to start a whole new blog and that still wouldn't allow me to make and entry.

I'm looking forward to the end of holiday madness at work--all the retail crazies on both sides of the counter have lost their charm. But that may be moot--I'm thinking I've got to search for my next job starting early next year.

Mail art drizzles in--I'm happy to see every odd envelope of it. What an amazing gift it is in my life. (A little holiday sentimentality comes creeping in there, sorry.) I do love my mail.

It's something I truly look forward to in 2005.

part time job, hello on the blog!

Look! I'm back. No telling for how long, but I've got it working today!

Still loving the stuff that Michael Leigh is doing to show off his massive and delightful mail art collection. I'm also still searching for an inexpensive but wonderfully functional digital camera to be able to do the same. Or a scanner, but I think a camera would be the funnest toy. I thought I'd found a good one for only $60 but it didn't really do the things it said it was supposed to so I returned it. Anybody out there know of a great digital camera that costs next to nothing and is easy to use? (I don't ask for much, do I?)

Mail art has slowed down a little although I did get to hear from Neosho, John Held Jr, Dale Spiers, Picasso Gaglione, CZ Lovecraft and a few others recently. I think the holidays are slowing ME down so I'm not surprised it's happening to others.

Speaking of holidays, have a happy!
